This is my first attempt at blogging. And i hope at the end of it, it actually gets published. I hope so because i have ventured into a lot of things that haven't actually seen the light of the day. For example: i have started some finger exercises on my younger sister's guitar, which i am sure is not going to last beyond a month.
Coming to the title of today's blog, I was always intrigued by this Blogging trend. What i mean is, with such a huge online population and so many bloggers, i used to wonder what is the probability that your blog actually gets read?! And if you wanted a blog to remain in touch with your closed ones, you have to look elsewhere because relationships can wither if you try to stay in touch through the electronic world and not through the real world.
That is when i realised that, a "Blog" can also be used for just putting down your thoughts somewhere. So, here i am seeking a replacement for a Personal Diary, which i was too lazy to maintain. This Blog which i have started writing is more for myself than anyone else. But there is going to be a difference a Personal Diary and a Blogspot - my inner most feelings are not going to be expressed here.
What actually led me to blogging is EXTREME BOREDOM which has set in during this vacation between the completion of my basic education (the B. Tech degree, Electrical Engineering from NIT Rourkela, Orissa) and me setting foot into the Real World. And during my free time during the EXTREME BOREDOM phase, a lot of thoughts kept crossing my mind when i returned to my birth place and home town Mumbai, Maharashtra.
I have always led myself to believe that i am a good writer, even though i have not gotten a chance to do a lot of writing except a few articles in my school and institute magazines. This i hope will revive my chances of improving my literary skills, which i think will be put to test when i join work at ITC in a month's time.
Henceforth, i will be posting mostly on happenings, events which i observe around me and occasionally about myself and the situations i find myself in.
